Mix It Up Challenge #43 – SugarPea Designs Handmade Card

Hi crafty friends! Welcome back to my blog!
Hope you’re having a wonderful day.
For today I have a new card showcasing quite a few goodies from SugarPea Designs: Pretty Peonies, Simply Fabulous, SugarCut – Fabulous, Postage Stamp Cover Plate and the SugarCut – Card Front Element Builder.
I made this card for the current challenge over at SugarPea Designs blog. This month is Mix It Up Challenge #43 and below you can see the sketch and/or the inspiration photo:
This time I chose the inspiration photo for my card and I started by preparing a white card base.
On a watercolor panel I stamped the big peony from the Pretty Peonies set using different Distress Ink pads.
I stamped the flower all over the panel and sprayed over them with a mini sprayer filled with clean water and a pinch of Perfect Pearls. The colors started spreading and I love the artsy look on them.
I die cut the panel using the scalloped rectangle die from the SugarCut – Card Front Element Builder set and mounted it onto the card base using craft foam.
Next I die cut a heart from vellum using the die from the Postage Stamp Cover Plate set and glued it to the panel. Then I added the fabulous die cut from gold cardstock using the SugarCut – Fabulous die and I completed the sentiment using stamps from the Simply Fabulous gold embossed on white strips of cardstocks.
